I build the system behind your marketing.

Mary Jane Howie, P.Eng.

Most companies buy marketing software one tool at a time. Nobody designs how the tools fit together. I connect your website, forms, CRM, email, and reporting, so no lead gets lost and you can see what brought each one in.

The role

What a marketing engineer does

A campaign manager runs campaigns. A marketing operations person keeps the tools running. A marketing engineer designs how the whole system fits together, then builds it.

I treat your marketing stack the way a developer treats code. Each piece has one job. Each connection is written down. Any piece can be swapped without breaking the rest.

Entrepreneur magazine made the case for this role in July 2026. That article is written for large revenue teams that can hire one full time. A mid-size company can get the same work by the project or by the month. That is what I offer.

Signs you need one

  • You pay for tools that do not talk to each other.
  • Leads come in by form, phone, and email, and nobody can say which page or ad brought them.
  • Someone copies data from one system to another by hand each week.
  • Your reports take hours to build, and people still argue about the numbers.
  • You want AI to help with marketing, and your data is too scattered for it to use.

What I build

Four ways to work with me

Every job has a fixed price and a written scope before you pay a deposit.

  • Measurement audit

    $4,500, fixed. Two weeks.

I map every tool, every data flow, and every manual step between a first visit and a paid invoice. You get a written report of what is broken and what to fix first.

  • Marketing systems build

    From $15,000

I connect your website, forms, CRM, email, and reporting into one system. Leads get routed, followed up, and tracked to their source. Nobody retypes them.

  • Website and SEO

    From $28,000

A fast website built to rank and built to measure. Every form, call, and booking is tracked from launch day.

  • Monthly marketing engineer

From $4,000 a month. Three month minimum.

I join your team for a fixed monthly fee. I own the system, keep improving it, and report the numbers each month.

Prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

The first 90 days

Proof on a schedule

A marketing engineer ships working systems, and the calendar should show it. Here is what you see and when.

  1. Day 30

    The map

Every system, every data flow, and every manual step, written down in one document.

  2. Day 60

    The first build

One manual process replaced by an automated one. It is live and in use.

  3. Day 90

    The numbers

A report on what the new workflow changed in one stage of your funnel.

An audit that runs into month two has gone on too long.

Who does the work

An engineer first

I am Mary Jane Howie, a professional engineer in Armstrong, BC. Engineering taught me to map a system before I change it, write the plan down, and measure the result. I run marketing work the same way.

I work alone on purpose. You talk to the person who does the work.
